Abstract

The following article deals with a didactic proposal designed to be implemented in the subject "Science for Citizenship" of the Chilean national curriculum. This proposal is based on the modeling and construction of a gas sensor, through the Tinkercad platform and the Arduino microcontroller. The methodology used is project-based learning (PBL) and the process begins with the approach of a central problem that deals with the risks associated with the concentration of harmful gases in the atmosphere we breathe. This proposal was elaborated on the basis of a process of exploratory research on the new purposes of science education and STS education.
