ANALYSIS OF MATHEMATICS TEXTBOOKS IN SECONDARY EDUCATION: A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the scientific production on the analysis of mathematics textbooks in Secondary Education in the SciELO, WoS and Scopus databases. For this purpose, a systematic review was carried out, following the guidelines established in the PRISMA declaration and using the keywords mentioned in the UNESCO Thesaurus. The initial search yielded a total of 71 documents, of which 12 were finally selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show that the years 2013 and 2020 have the highest number of articles, the journal AIEM has more than one article published on this topic and that most of the articles use a qualitative methodology. It is concluded that the study of textbooks is a developing line of research, given the low number of articles published in relevant databases.
