Abstract
This research starts when we noticed a high number chemistry first year students at Ciencias Exactas y Naturales y Agrimensura Faculty (FaCENA) at Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (UNNE, Argentine) that fail in their exams solving water solution problems. As a result we challenged ourselves to go on examinating if this fact persists as an obstacle along the different
courses of the careers, given that this subject is studied in several classes of the present syllabus in FaCENA. The same task was given to beginner, júnior and sénior students to identify the difficulties that appear in their resolution.
We have been able to detect the most common student mistakes which act as epistemological obstacles blocking the correct problem resolution up in dissolution chemistry problems because they maintain it in different steps of the career.
