Abstract

Knowledge society requires that the school is reformed form a socio-cognitive paradigm. This leads to the revisión of historical concepts such as curriculum, competencies, intelligence, curricular planning, capabilities and valúes, knowledge, curriculum design. The basic axiom is that contents (knowledge) and methods (doings) are a means to develop capabilities (mental tools) and valúes (affective iones).
