VALORACION DE HABILIDADES SOBRE EL PRINCIPIO DE CONSERVACIÓN Y ESTADOS DE AGREGACIÓN DE LA MATERIA

This study focused on certain intellectual skills of students recently admitted to the University, regarding the Principie of Conservation of Matter and its States of Aggregation, which are key pillars in the building of knowledge of the interpretation of the physical and/or Chemical processes. With such aim, a diagnostic test was administered on the basis of the particle model for matter. The analysis of results showed that students encountered serious difficulties in the management
of the skills assessed, mainly from the symbolic microscopic viewpoint, when it comes to microscopio/ macroscopic relationships, which results in an obstacle for the understanding of the contents specified.
