Author Guidelines

The Chilean Journal of Science Education (RChEC) publishes original empirical articles, review articles, and educational experiences in the field of natural science education.

Empirical research refers to academic work grounded in reliable and well-established methods, which collect data through observation or experimentation to address specific research questions. These types of articles present objective and well-supported results, contributing to current knowledge in a particular field by analyzing data and situating it within the theoretical framework and related ongoing research.

Review articles allow for the identification of the current state of research on a particular topic, establishing a general and future perspective of a specific field. Review articles considered for publication should follow a systematic method, such as the PRISMA method or similar, to ensure they are replicable and include various analyses that contribute to advancing knowledge construction in the particular subject matter.

Educational Experiences is a section that gathers works framed within the systematization of innovative didactic experiences in either formal or non-formal educational settings, with an emphasis on pedagogical narratives about the implementation of didactic strategies, school science projects, collaborative work experiences in teaching communities, among others. The proposals in this section focus on the pedagogical reflection of the practice itself, with a theoretically supported didactic analysis and the systematization of the results of the educational experience.
