The biology and reproductive behavior in males of the solitary bee species Protandrena euansi was
investigated for one nesting population in Farellones, Región Metropolitana, (Central Chile) at 2,612 m
above sea level. Data showed changes in sex ratio but this species not displays protandry. The bee is
oligolectic and related to Senecio polygaloides, where males select perches to copúlate. The mating system
of this species is discussed as a male dominance polygyny and occurrence of temporals lek.
