Abstract

This document addresses the contribution to justice and social transformation that is generated, with the implementation of Learning and Service (AS) projects through the curricular activity of Adult Education of the Pedagogy in Differential Education career of the Silva Henríquez Catholic University (UCSH). These projects focus on the development of cognitive and instrumental skills, digital literacy, self-sustainability and work readiness in various contexts characterized by the high violation of the rights of the adults who participate in them (confinement, special school, adults and older people), generating bidirectional training processes in social justice for the students of Pedagogy in Differential Education (PED) at UCSH, as well as improving the quality of life of those who make up the community partners.
This synthesis seeks to recognize the contribution of AS to transformation and social justice according to the experiences developed by students of Pedagogy in Differential Education at UCSH, with adults in diverse contexts, contributing to the training process itself, and in turn, generating reciprocity with communities from vulnerable contexts as the central focus of the profile of a teaching staff committed to the common good, who seeks to respond to contextual demands, promote educational transformation, and provide better opportunities for participation that promote equity in the different spaces of society current.
