Approach and scope

The electronic journal Educación y Tecnología publishes original papers in which digital technologies reflected on in the areas of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education are discussed and analysed.

Educación y Tecnología is a biannual publication edited by the Facultad de Historia, Geografía y Letras de la Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación (UMCE), aimed at researchers, academics, classroom teachers, professionals in the area and university students.

Revista Educación y Tecnología is included in the following indexs: Latindex, Dialnet and Google Scholar.

Peer review process

Revista Educación y Tecnología publishes original works in Spanish and English, the official languages ​​of the publication.

The magazine has an Editorial Committee in charge of receiving academic papers from Chilean and foreign institutions; in addition, the journal has an external Editorial Committee.

The works must be sent to the OJS platform http://revistas.umce.cl/edytec and will be subjected to an evaluation process. 

The Editorial Committee in accordance with the norms of the call will request formal modifications to the works that have been sent for publication and that do not comply with the editorial norms. Approved the publication will be available on the site http://revistas.umce.cl/edytec and will be notified via email. 

Publication frequency

Revista Educación y Tecnología receives articles throughout the year, and publish them on the Open Journal Systems platform as soon as they are available within their respective evaluation.

Open Access Policy

Revista Educación y Tecnología provides immediate open access to all content; based on the principle that providing free access to information contributes to the global exchange and dissemination of knowledge.

Authors may submit their articles to the journal without charge for their publication and users may read, copy, distribute and use the contents as long as the author and the name of Revista Educación y Tecnología are quoted.
