Diversidade e educação: uma reflexão sobre o racismo na escola

Resumen

Resumo: Este artigo buscou analisar a temática do racismo na escola. O tema tem sido ponto central de muitas discussões e debates, principalmente no campo da educação. Pretendeu-se descortinar os desafios enfrentados pelos educadores do Brasil, no sentido de promover um ensino que valorize as diferenças e atitudes antirracistas. Portanto, propõe-se através das literaturas apresentadas neste estudo, reflexões sobre o racismo e a discriminação, especialmente na escola, espaço onde se formam e concretizam relações sociais, mas que, contudo, pode-se notar que ainda não está conseguindo cumprir o seu papel essencial na formação de um cidadão que respeite as diferenças e o multiculturalismo existente no país.

Abstract: This article searched to analyze the theme of racism in school. The theme has been central to many discussions and debates, especially in the field of education. Sought to also unveiling the challenges faced by educators from Brazil, to promote an education that values differences and antiracist attitudes. Therefore, it is proposed by the literature presented in this study, reflections on racism and discrimination, especially in school, place where form and materialize social relations, but however, it may be noted that it is still unable to fulfill its essential role in the formation of a citizen who respects the differences and the existing multiculturalism in the country.
