Abstract
La educación debe utilizar y aprovechar con imaginación las oportunidades que posibilitan los nuevos medios audiovisuales, desarrollando en los estudiantes un repertorio de habilidades y actitudes útiles para los tipos de trabajo requeridos por las tecnologizadas organizaciones de nuestro tiempo, pero el sentido de la función instrumental de la educación debe orientarse, ante todo, a dar respuesta a las necesidades surgidas desde nuestra realidad. La educación no puede ni debe ignorar
la realidad de la mega-tendencia globalizadora, pero tampoco debe rendirse
acríticamente a sus dictados.
