Abstract
Desde la irrupción del feminismo a mediados de la década de los sesenta se han cuestionado
las imágenes y roles tradicionales de la mujer, pero poco se ha discurrido acerca de los nuevos conceptos de masculinidad que han surgido de este debate. Basándose en las obras de Robert Bly, Sam Keene y otros autores norteamericanos que han configurado un nuevo imaginario masculino, esta ponencia explorará qué significa ser varón en los albores del siglo XXI en una cultura que ha sobrevalorado lo femenino y cómo estas reflexiones pueden contribuir a la redefinición de los roles femenino y masculino en nuestro país.
