Abstract
La pregunta se puede formular por distintos actores, sea el gobierno, los estudiantes, los padres y otros diversos sectores sociales. Entonces, la respuesta estará en cada caso influenciada por la perspectiva del que pregunta, en otras palabras, por la particular preocupación que sustenta la pregunta por la acreditación.
Así, por ejemplo, al gobierno le interesará saber de la calidad de una institución en el contexto de los sistemas de financiamiento, con el fin de proveerse de criterios en qué fundar sus decisiones sobre aportes económicos, sea a la institución, a los académicos o a los estudiantes.
