Abstract
Normalmente cuando se nos pide que nos refiramos acerca de la universidad que queremos, y sobre cuál es el rol que debe cumplir en el Chile actual, lo primero que se nos viene a la conciencia es intentar abordar la solicitud desde definiciones doctrinarias e incluso normativas que, bajo el supuesto de tal o cual “modelo” de universidad, inevitablemente excluimos la presencia de sujetos históricos que establecen relaciones sociales en el marco de una organización también histórica.
