Abstract
Este trabajo quisiera entregar un enfoque de la concepción sartriana de la libertad, que, si bien perpetúa la tradición rupturista de principios de siglo, reniega de su lirismo, dotando esa libertad de eficacia creadora. El arraigo de la libertad en lo cotidiano y efímero lo vive el hombre como una maldición que, al mismo tiempo, es fuente de grandeza. La libertad para Sartre supone inventar cada vez la solución que la situación requiere. Es pues una libertad optimista y solidaria, fundada en la capacidad del hombre para asumirse, y asumir la humanidad, cada vez que ejecuta un acto auténticamente libre.
