Efectos de la música autoseleccionada sobre la motivación y el rendimiento físico en usuarios de gimnasios en Colombia

El presente artículo analiza los efectos de la música autoseleccionada sobre la motivación y el rendimiento físico en practicantes de actividad física de los gimnasios Halcón Fit Gym Box y Torres Fit Gym de Garzón-Huila. Se desarrolló un estudio cuasiexperimental con enfoque cuantitativo, mediante evaluación pre y post intervención en una muestra de 132 participantes (52,2 % hombres y 47,8 % mujeres). Se midieron variables de fuerza, resistencia, flexibilidad y motivación intrínseca, aplicando pruebas del protocolo Eurofit y el cuestionario Brunel Music Rating Inventory-2 (IBMR-2). Los resultados evidenciaron mejoras significativas (p < 0.05) en todas las capacidades físicas y un incremento en la percepción motivacional cuando los participantes entrenaron con música de su preferencia. Se concluye que la música autoseleccionada actúa como un estímulo ergogénico y emocional que potencia el rendimiento, reduce la percepción del esfuerzo y fortalece la adherencia al ejercicio.
