Abstract
This document aims to point out, the importance it will be for the Ministry of education (Mineduc) to count
with updated geospatial information on a permanent basis, as relevant data on the location of educational
establishmentn in the territory. Above all, in the context of the new law of inclusion and the draft law on
new public education (NEP), with the benefits it would bring by having a basic institutional framework to
address the possible growth of educational establshments, as a result of the implementation of the law N °
20.845/2015, which regulates the admission of students, eliminating shared financing and prohibiting schools
from profiting which receive resources from the State. This law changes the current one to authorize the
creation of new schools, since it will require every ministerial Secretary of education (SEREMI) to study first
the teritory where it will be authorised the creation of new schools, which it will give more enhacement and
sense to start up local services determined by NEP (New Pulic Education)
