Use of conceptual mapping and learning based on inquiry for the development of critical thinking and professional reasoning

Critical thinking responds to a cognitive ability, oriented to the deliberation and decision making either in the personal, academic or professional scope. However, this skill requires the implementation of relevant pedagogical strategies so that students can develop it effectively.
In this didactic fact sheet the development of an experience in which two strategies were used for the development of critical thinking skills and reasoning of students of the Kinesiology career: conceptual mapping and inquiry-based learning.
During the development of the experience students value inquiry-based learning and the construction of concept maps, as they contribute to active learning and promote collaborative learning.
