As memórias da casa da Rua Garay, o caso de Borges, Beatriz e o Aleph

Resumen

Resumo: Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a representação da memória no conto O Aleph, presente no livro de mesmo nome, do escritor argentino Jorge Luis Borges. Para tanto, analisaremos a representação da memória presente no conto por meio da figura de Beatriz Viterbo que nos é apresentada pelo Borges personagem que volta à casa da rua Garay para visitar aquele local que para ele tem um grande papel rememorativo, também através da representação do próprio Aleph e seu conteúdo memorístico. Para o referido estudo serão utilizados alguns teóricos de Jorge Luis Borges, como também o livro Anatomia da Crítica, de Northrop Frye, entre outros que nos direcionarão para uma análise mais profunda da representação da memória no referido conto.

Abstract: This article has as its objective to analyse the representation of memory on the short story The Aleph, that is present on the book with the same name, from argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges. For such, we will analyse the representation of memory present on the short story through the figure of Beatriz Viterbo that is presented to us by Borges's character that comes back from the Garay Street house to visit that place that to him has a big reminiscent role, and also through Aleph itself and his memories. For this study some theorists of Jorge Luis Borges will be used, also the book Anatomy of Criticism, from Northrop Frye, amongst others that will direct us towards a deeper analysis of the representation of memory on the discussed short story.
