La ley de instrucción primaria obligatoria (1920) y el valor de la educación pública

Abstract

The purpose of this presentation is to highlight the value of Public Education, delivered by the state. The pubic, its scope in our everyday world, its ethical and legal implications, in the civil world, in the city as the Greek classics would say. Also noteworthy is the public education provided by the state, in the fiscal high schools, of the period studied, which laid the roots that allowed the development of large social movements, such as those for the emancipation of women. For this, sources such as bibliography, newspapers, among others, were used, which we will indicate when appropriate. In short, to carry out a dialogue between the present and the past, to bring to the present moment a permanent discussion in our social and political history, at a time when public and state education of all Chileans is being challenged again.
