Abstract
“Una pelea fuera de un bar, demandas a empresas transnacionales, combates de
máquinas cosechadoras, técnicas bizarras de masturbación, sectas religiosas, canciones
asesinas, viajes en el tiempo… tomas uno de sus libros abierto en alguna página al azar y no
puedes dejar de leer”. Así son los libros de Chuck Palahniuk (Portland, 1964), autor del best
seller El Club de la Pelea (Muchnik, 1999) y llevado al cine por David Fincher (1999). Siempre
controversial, mordaz, irónico, extraño, brillante, aunque desagradable y bestial, eso son sus
libros: un embutido de ángel y bestia. Chuck Palahniuk ha impactado a la crítica con cada uno
de sus libros, que pueden considerarse como un golpe fulminante, entre los que destacan
los siguientes: Superviviente (Muchnik, 2000), Monstruos Invisibles (Debolsillo, 2003), Asfixia
(Mondadori, 2001), Nana (Mondadori, 2003), Diario: Una novela (Mondadori, 2004), Fantasmas
(Mondadori, 2006), Rant. La vida de un asesino (Mondadori, 2007), Snuff (Mondadori, 2010).
