Abstract
The present work is a contribution to the development of biodiversity conservation and sustainability in the tropical dry forest area through the implementation of the contextualization of the curriculum of natural pedagogical science as a fundamental strategy to acquire skills and competences achieving changes in behaviors and styles of Life by the context in which students develop, as well as to expand their knowledge to promote the processes of care and good management of this ecosystem.
For the design of the pedagogical strategy we developed activities such as:
-Adaptation of the curriculum design is structured from the levels of learning performance: interpretative, argumentative and propositional.
-Elaboration of the didactic unit, which is part of the investigatory process of the institutional reality.
-Realization of the pedagogical application, we work through different activities to understand the structures and operations of the tropical dry forest
In the design, theoretical aspects are adopted from significant learning, classroom research, environmental education, national references in natural sciences and the tropical dry forest ecosystem theme.
For the analysis of the results of the pedagogical strategy, a diagnostic test was performed, in addition to pre-test and post-test inquiry. The diagnostic test was analyzed by a category table and a descriptive report of each of the sessions. For the analysis of the results of the pre-test and post-test a multivariate analysis was performed using cluster analysis for variables, which allowed the grouping of these variables.
