Abstract

Objective: To compare countermovement jumping variables (CMJ) between playing positions in a first division Chilean professional futsal team. Methods: The CMJ vertical jump test was performed on strength platforms. ANOVA test was performed. Results: Differences (p<0.05) were found in body mass (F=9.29 and η²p=0.59). In the CMJ, differences were found in the absolute braking impulse (F=3.93 and η²p=0.38) and concentric (F=8.34 and η²p=0.56), where the Pivots had higher values than the Wings, but when normalized by body weight no differences were found. Conclusion: From the results it can be concluded that there are only differences in the braking and absolute concentric impulse in the CMJ between playing positions, but these may be due to differences in body mass, since when normalizing these variables to body weight no differences were found.
