As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published nor has it been submitted for consideration by any other journal (or an explanation has been provided regarding this in the Comments to the editor).

The submission files are in WORD format (doc, docx).

Whenever possible, URL addresses are provided for references.

The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarized in the http://revistas.umce.cl/index.php/rmcp/about/submissions#authorGuidelines' target='_new'>Author Guidelines, which appear in About the journal.

Font: Times New Roman, size 12 points for the main text of the document, including body text, footnotes, citations, and references. The titles of main sections may be larger, such as 14 or 16 points. The following fonts may also be used: Arial (11 points), Georgia (11 points), Calibri (11 points), Lucida Sans Unicode (10 points); italics are used instead of underlining (except in URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed in the appropriate locations within the text, rather than at the end."

The text has double spacing (2.0 spacing) and one-and-a-half spacing (1.5 spacing) for tables, figures, headings, footnotes, and content elements where the text may become too lengthy with double spacing.
EDITORIAL POLICY
All submissions must be written according to the specifications outlined in the seventh edition of the American Psychological Association (APA) style, APA 7 (APA 7th https://apastyle.apa.org). For works in Spanish or Portuguese, adaptation to the original language is the sole responsibility of the authors (for reference, you may consult https://normas-apa-edu.com). Additionally, as a journal, we adhere to a writing policy that respects the use of inclusive language, according to the Inclusive Language Guide, APA, 2023 (https://www.apa.org/about/apa/equity-diversity-inclusion/language-guide.pdf).
PUBLICATION PROCEDURE
Those interested in publishing in REM must register on the platform (https://revistas.umce.cl/index.php/rmcp/user/register), providing the requested information. Subsequently, they should submit the following documents as separate files:
1. Manuscript with all author identification, institutional affiliation, or any other identifying information removed.
2. Originality Statement, completed and signed by all authors.
3. Author information for each contributing author: names and surnames, ORCID ID, institutional affiliation, and respective institutional email addresses.
PLAGIARISM POLICY
Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work. However, all available means and tools will be used to verify this, including online anti-plagiarism programs. If plagiarism is detected, the work will be rejected, the authors will be informed, and the submission will be removed from the platform. The Journal also reserves the right to inform the relevant authorities and/or take legal action if necessary.
FILES TO BE SUBMITTED
All files must be submitted in WORD format (*doc, *docx).
FIGURES, TABLES, IMAGES
Figures and tables should be included in the anonymized manuscript and also submitted as separate files in PNG format. Figures and tables should be numbered sequentially by type and in the order they appear in the manuscript. For example, Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3; Table 1, Table 2, Table 3.
If there are photographs or images, they should be included in the text and submitted separately in PNG format, numbered in the order they appear in the manuscript. For example: Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, etc.
