Abstract
This essay seeks to answer the question: what are the scope and meanings of the concept of School Coexistence Climate understood as a complex phenomenon? In order to try to answer this question, first of all the scopes of the implementation of the school coexistence climate, as a learning indicator in the Chilean educational system, are raised in a critical way. Secondly, the different approaches to its conceptualization are exposed, both at a local and international level, and finally, the phenomenon is approached from an epistemological viewpoint in accordance with the paradigm of complexity.
