Abstract
The objective of this text is to analyze and discuss the epistemological fundamentals through different perspectives around the problems that underlie educational research. In this sense, it is intended to make a journey of the underlying knowledge, this will allow us to glimpse the foundation of the teaching beliefs, the discussions around science, the power dynamics in society and the school, as well as some approaches on emergence of learning and the relevance of a transdisciplinarity approach in educational research.
