Abstract
Agradezco que me hayan invitado a compartir con ustedes las reflexiones acerca de los cambios culturales y los desafíos que nos plantea el nuevo siglo, en el marco de este interesante Congreso.
Al reflexionar sobre lo que caracteriza a este fin de siglo, podríamos afirmar que estamos frente a un mundo nuevo, y en él, dos cosas son destacables: por un lado, que nos enfrentamos a un profundo cambio cultural, científico, social y económico como en la historia jamás había ocurrido en tan corto período de tiempo; y la segunda, es que la mayoría de nosotros estamos siendo directamente testigos de este cambio.
