Abstract
Debemos situar a Frida Kahlo en el momento histórico y en el pensamiento estético de su tiempo, en el cual desarrolla sus primeras obras, ya que eran años de grande y rica efervescencia política, época ardiente, romántica y entusiasmada por alcanzar un cambio social y cultural en la vida nacional de México. Es la época de la Revolución Mexicana.
El 5 de Octubre de 1910, cuando Porfirio Díaz prepara la celebración del Centenario de la Independencia con el boato propio de una monarquía absoluta, al llamado de Francisco Madero en el "Plan de San Luis", el pueblo se subleva y envuelve al país en una guerra furiosa.
