Abstract

Teacher training, in the current historical context, is under transformation and is acquiring a certain complexity. This article addresses the analysis of the different training offers of certain European universities. Inquiring about the vector of university teacher training and different categories that affect the same - thematic lines, tools used, services and resources available and methodology developed. The project responds to a qualitative and interpretative methodological proposal. The fundamental strategy for collecting information has been the documentary analysis of the training programmes of seven European universities. Regarding the conclusions, we note that the most relevant issues in the training actions is related to the training towards teaching of university teaching staff, leaving in the background the pillars of Management and Research. Of the European universities analysed, four place their training actions within the framework of a training plan organized from the central bodies of the university. The others present their various training actions from different faculties, services and centres of the university.
