Abstract

The establishment of Web 2.0 and 3.0 has influenced the publication of scientific content, allowing a greater diffusion and reach in comparison with the traditional printed methods. The databases in open access and the implementation of journals managers, are part of this process, where scientific publications have a broader scope and dissemination. However, it is necessary to implement from internationally defined standards. In this way, the objective is to make a diagnosis of the situation of the journals of the Metropolitan University of Education Sciences in the databases that have open access characteristics. The results establish that the publications are in the first phase of implementation of digital dissemination, but with different characteristics among themselves, oscillating in the characteristics, scope and queries.
