Abstract

A check list of identifíed genera and especies of Chilean Tachinidae (Díptera) in the Colleclion of the
Instituto de Entomología, Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación, Santiago, is herein
offered with records on number of specimens, localities where collecied and known hosts when this
information is available. The identification and arrangement of the collection is due to the authority of
profesor Raúl Cortés P. This list covers 78 genera and 140 species of the estimated 133 genera and 257
species which have been reponed from Chile.
