COPITARSIA CLAVATA (KÓHLER): DESCRIPTION OF FEMALE, EGG AND FIRST STAGE LARVAE (LEPIDOPTERA: NOCTUIDAE: CUCULLIINAE)

Abstract

The immature (egg and first stage of larvae) and the morphology of the female genitalia of C. clauata (Kohler) are described following previous works. The specimens were collected at Sector La Mina VII Región Chile (925 msnm) (35° 21’ S; 71e41’W) and Paso Internacional Pehuenche (2,560 msnm) (352 59’ S; 70° 24’ W), VII Región, Chile, being the most septentrional record. For the obtention of eggs and the larvae, female were maintain in rearing cages. Is conduded that microstructure of the egg and larvae of C. clauata is similar to the egg of C. decolora (Guenée). Egg and larvae are included in previous keys.
