The concept of e-competent executive body and leadership in ICT integration processes in educational institutions and in educational management
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to make a bibliographic review of the current view on the processes of integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Chilean educational institutions. Performance standards have been developed for the plans and programs that integrate ICT to teacher professionalization and the concept of digital competence has been incorporated into initial teacher training.
Subsequently, concepts associated with ICT integration processes in educational management are reviewed, led by digitally competent management bodies, called e-competent managers and the characteristics that allow obtaining successful experiences in these processes. Then, the review of the dimensions of the concept of leadership and associated attitudes that facilitate institutional educational projects.
Finally, the consequences resulting from the experiences led by digitally competent management bodies in the integration processes are reviewed.
