Abstract
The following paper is part of the result of a research that looks into the uses of the word <research> in the websites of Chilean universities that offer postgraduate studies in visual arts. The aim is to detect whether or not artistic practice has been incorporated as a form of investigation. We examined the 14 universities that have an undergraduate program in visual arts in Chile, but the study focused on the 5 universities that offer master's and doctoral degree in that area of knowledge.
