Abstract
This article presents a critical-philosophical approach from Jacques Derrida's deconstructive approach to the current definition of health proposed by the World Health Organisation, examining the background and historical context in which it was created, which explains its ambiguity and reductionism, but above all the colonising, sexist and elitist exclusion that it denotes. Furthermore, the universality of this definition and its institutionalisation is discussed, from which the question of destination, i.e. the ‘privilege’ or the ‘right to’ health, arises.
