Abstract

The benefits of literature and the ongoing gender inequalities have prompted the need to conduct the following research. By exploring various databases and limiting the analysis to open documents in Spanish, twenty-seven publications on coeducation in the classroom were identified through the literature. The results show limited
research, many qualitative studies, a predominance of female researchers over male researchers, the absence of specialized journals on this topic, and publications with few citations. The conclusions emphasize the importance of literature for learning, the role of teachers in promoting coeducation, and the need to publish more research on this topic to eradicate gender inequalities.
