Abstract
ABSTRACT
One of the most important economic activities in the world within the manufacturing sector is the textile industry. From the mid-eighteenth century this industry began to develop in countries such as Great Britain, France, Belgium and the United States. This work aims to collect, review and synthesize the publications that have been made on the textile industry. For this, a bibliometric analysis of the articles related to the study topic published between 2011 and 2021 in free access databases such as Redalyc, SciELO and CLASE was carried out.
The results obtained show us that between the years 2019 and 2020 the largest number of investigations has been carried out; The male gender is the one who has mainly carried out the investigations of this industry; Mexico concentrates the largest number of publications, most of them in Spanish, and; There is a great opportunity in this field for research on technology and innovation for new production processes with a vision of sustainability.
