Abstract
Desde mediados del siglo XIX se ha manifestado progresivamente en Chile la influencia de la cultura alemana, especialmente en las regiones IX y X. Luego del “milagro alemán” después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial estas influencias se manifiestan especialmente en el ámbito de la tecnología: los autos y las maquinarias alemanas, los productos químicos y muchos objetos de la vida diaria gozan de buena fama en el país. Todo esto se expresa y se propaga también a través de imágenes y es por eso que resulta evidente la existencia de un imaginario que nos responde la pregunta planteada como tema de esta ponencia.
