Abstract
El cambio de milenio. Los cambios tecnológicos y científicos que caracterizan a los últimos decenios del siglo XX nos imponen una nueva actitud frente a las humanidades y a la formación científica. Este umbral del siglo XXI se nos presenta como un momento crítico en la problemática mundial y representa un desafío que la humanidad debe enfrentar. La educación, en consecuencia, requiere plantearse la compleja tarea de preparar y estimular la imaginación y creatividad del educando para que pueda enfrentar con éxito el futuro, en gran medida, incierto.
