Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of a motor program supported by YouTube educational videos and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on the development of basic motor skills in kindergarten students in the Metropolitan Region of Chile. A quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group was adopted, working with 30 students equally distributed in two groups. The experimental group participated in four sessions combining educational videos (mainly from the Danny Go channel) with motor circuits, while the control group executed only motor circuits. Motor development was evaluated using the Jack Capon Test. Results showed that the experimental group experienced a 29,6% improvement (from 59,5% to 89,1%), while the control group presented a 7,6% increase (from 73,1% to 80,7%), confirming that ICT integration improves basic motor skills development. The study concludes that educational videos, implemented under a structured pedagogical design, function as effective tools that enhance motivation, facilitate visual modeling, and accelerate motor development, with relevant implications for pedagogical innovation in early childhood education.
