Abstract
Este trabajo presenta el valor formativo que
posee la Geografía como disciplina escolar
en la formación de adolescentes de Enseñanza
Media y algunas observaciones sobre situa
ciones de enseñanza que tienen ocurrencia en
el aula. Los ámbitos que se han observado
dicen relación con el desempeño general del
profesor de Historia y Geografía en la sala de
clases; las estrategias de enseñanza que aplica
y la interacción entre él y sus alumnos. El
análisis de los indicadores de cada aspecto
ha permitido darse cuenta de algunos avances
y retrocesos que ha tenido esta disciplina en
el marco de la actual reforma.
