Abstract
Como es de conocimiento público, a partir del año 90 el Ministerio de Educación ha estado preocupado por producir cambios relevantes en el sistema educacional chileno. Con tal finalidad, encargó a una comisión de prominentes hombres que realizaran un diagnóstico de la educación en nuestro país.
Sus hallazgos sorprendieron profundamente a quienes están fuera de este sistema. Sin embargo ya se había incursionado a través de otras investigaciones en el campo de la escuela y sus resultados habían ocasionado voces de alerta porque se mantenía en vigencia un modelo de hace 100 años.
