Abstract

This research portrays the social and academic perception of students and professors, in engineering physics, in mandatory confinement due to Covid-19 in Chile. The study was carried out
through interviews with groups from two universities (public and private), identifying common problems for teachers and students. Among the main difficulties is the quality of the internet, the
implementation and use of digital tools, and the lack of its own space to attend classes. It should be noted that regardless of the house of study, the recording of classes and asynchronous evaluations is valued by students and teachers, but only 40% of teachers consider that learning results are achieved, and of students it is a percentage those who perceive that they
are reached, and it is a minority percentage who agree, that the contents are treated in a similar way to face-to-face.
