Abstract
The article describes the project "UMCE Pedagogical Observatory", a science outreach initiative managed and implemented by senior students of the Physics and Astronomy Education program. Over the past two years, the project has promoted the study of astronomy in non-formal educational contexts through guided visits, hands-on workshops, and telescope observations for school communities — both at the university’s facilities and through itinerant activities at schools themselves. The presentation highlights the value of this experience as a pedagogical innovation that not only brings science closer to students but also significantly enriches the initial training of future teachers.
