Abstract

This paper aims to explore the experience lived in two particle physics’ outreach program and the mode that these strategies are able to construct new epistemological beliefs within the high-school environment. To reach this goal I develop an autoethnography based on my participation in the programs of International Masterlasses – hands on particle physics, and the University of
Birmingham’s workshops about art and particle physics. These narratives show the epistemological beliefs’ changes related to the cultural environment, the bias about Scientifics, the ways of learning and teaching as a lecturer. Finally, after a thoughtful process, this work proposes the relevance of the constant update and adaptation of the learning process within the scientific environment.
